SILENT ECHOES
By Jeffrey V. Tolentino
Roosters randomly blow their trumpets
Announcing timeless tradition.
One could lie awake listening
As December wind calms the soul.
Lovers move in darkness
With hot lips and tender bosoms
Driven by pure love and passion.
Poets dream of lost worlds
While soldiers and warriors alike
Rejoice behind endless wars.
I wander around silently
Happy and content
As a new day unfolds
In silent echoes of a beautiful dawn.
